    Duties & Responsibilities

    Duke’s Refresher serves up epic cocktails, 40 glorious beers on tap, stupid good food and the kind of fun that would make any respectable middle manager blush, ask for the bill, and leave early. The music’s loud, the conversation can get out of hand and you’ll be treated like a regular the minute you walk in the door – because if you’re not already one, we’re thinking you will be soon. And if you like the beer here as much as it’s going to like you, you might even find yourself joining the Einstein Club – which means you’ll get a personal beer stein that we’ll hang behind the bar for your visits. Just don’t expect us to hide it when you bring in someone on a first date. As a Front of House Manager for Duke’s you will be responsible for the following: 

    • Work alongside the General Manager to lead our TMs to provide the highest quality standards for food, a guest experience that is outstanding, and service that is memorable.
    • Develop leadership skills under the mentorship of the GM and in turn coach and lead our Team Members to help to ensure they receive great training and support.
    • Learn and manage the financials, and work to achieve and exceed established goals.
    • Use strong time management skills and attention to detail to complete our jobs.
    • Spread the enthusiasm and energy among all of our Team Members!    

    Qualifications

    • If you've had 1-3 years previous restaurant management/supervisory experience in a comparable restaurant environment we're interested.
    • Proficient in English verbal and written communication.
    • Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
    • You'll be managing sales goals, inventory, cash and other stuff that requires good math and analytical skills.
    • Previous scheduling experience is an asset.
    • Smart Serve Certification required.
