    Duties & Responsibilities

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • IT Production Maintenance
      • Monitor production and controls.
      • Oversee system engineering (Change Management).
      • Supervise day to day IT Operations
      • Manage special projects/deployments.
      • Implementation and Integration of new tools (Systems, Networks, etc) into production environment.
      • Manage resolution of Helpdesk escalations.
    • Management of Quality and Security
      • System reliability, security of data
      • Definition and implementation of emergency response plans.
    • Communications Management
      • Distribution of IT related information necessary for business operations.
    • Resource Management.
      • Ensure suitable technical maintenance of production resources.
      • Consider and prepare for the impact of new technologies on production environments.
      • Monitor service contracts and vendor performance.
      • Management of software licensing.
    • Support:
      • Corrective Maintenance actions.
      • Reviews systems and makes recommendations for improvements to optimize/organize existing resources.
      • Provides training and guidance to technical resources on the team.
      • Ensures maintenance of technical documentation on environment.
    • Maintenance and Security:
      • Controls access to IT resources as per company guidelines.
      • Manages changes to hardware, software and IT systems.
      • Monitors and Manages system performance.
      • Plans and monitors system patches for both firmware and software.
    • Research/Studies:
      • Researches implementation requirements for potential tools/hardware and software and makes recommendations.
      • Monitors changes in existing technologies used in various communications and systems architectures (hardware, software, architecture, protocols, transfer modes).
    • Deliverables for this role:
      • A high-performance IT Production System.
      • Well maintained IT Helpdesk service levels.
      • Achievement of acceptably low levels of system downtime.



    • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or other related field.
    • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role/capacity.
    • Experience in hospitality or retail industry is preferred.
    • Systems Administration with MS Operating Systems and VMWare technical background.
    • Must be highly organized with demonstrated competencies in project management.
    • Must have experience managing direct reports with a wide range of IT responsibilities.
    • Must have experience in a widely distributed computing environment.
    • Experience in an MS SQL environment preferred.
    • Experience managing and leading a team – this role will have 4 direct reports.
    • Experience with advanced systems and technical networking.
