Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of operational projects ensuring proper communication of schedules, issues that arise during the implementation phase, and provide clarity to risks, delays and potential scope changes with all project stakeholders.
  • Lead special projects by leveraging subject matter expertise ensuring projects help support team members and continue to innovate the organization. 
  • Monitor and manage status updates and communication with all levels of the organization.
  • Schedule, supervise and develop support and trainers on projects (Quads, contracts, hotels, timelines, etc.).
  • Ensure support staff receive appropriate orientation to each project.
  • Partner with stakeholders such as RDs, Operations, Construction to complete deficiencies lists.
  • Primary on-site contact throughout implementation of projects.
  • Complete risk analysis prior to beginning implementation to ensure risks are identified and mitigation plans are created.
  • Ensure punch lists are completed (manage partners through 365 calendar).
  • Lead the creation of reinforcement of business standards changed/updated as part of projects.
  • Work with project team members to identify, communicate and resolve issues.
  • Manage project budgets and deadlines.
  • Conduct post project/go forward meetings with a focus on increased productivity and effectiveness and build plans to ensure changes are embedded.
  • Support the development of project management office functions to improve program and portfolio planning. 
  • Ensure trainers can remain 100% focused on training and smooth with clear handovers.
  • 90% of time spent in the field.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple cross functional projects and teams.
  • College project management certificate or equivalent professional experience.
  • PMI certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strive for excellence and innovation.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of all areas of the restaurant (FOH, BOH, Bar, Management).
  • Thorough understanding of concept differences and a focus on maintaining/highlighting these with each project.
  • Able to work in a team and independently to meet deadlines in a responsive and detail oriented manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to adapt to interact professionally with diverse group of partners (vendors, team members, managers, directors, etc.).
  • Strong facilitation skills to drive decision making process with diplomacy and enthusiasm while maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Excellent time management skills, able to effectively organize tasks and control project scope.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, constantly changing environment – able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Able to manage effectively through ambiguity and link business strategies to operations.
