As a Beverage Training Specialist you will be responsible for the following:
· Coordinate beverage efforts for all SIR Concepts by working collaboratively with Senior Beverage Manager, Concept Leaders, Operations and Marketing teams
· Lead, execute and deliver all training components for beverage activations (recipes, program launches, best practices, inventory and costing systems) for operations teams across all SIR concepts
· Provides ongoing support and coaching to operations teams for all beverage programs, which may include bar manager and bartender training, new product activations, recipe adherence/cost analysis and beverage best practices
· Facilitates continuous learning opportunities for operations, ensuring they have access to resources for their teams and provides all training to support these opportunities
· Assist in the development and maintenance of all training tools for the beverage program for all SIR concepts, including menu guides, bar books and testing
· Assist in the development of ‘Beverage Best Practices’ across all SIR Concepts and ensure consistent execution through reporting and follow up with operations and leadership teams
· Assist in the development of all beverage activation components including IT updates, purchasing and compliance details, training materials, recipe pricing and recipe adherence across all SIR concepts
· Assist in supporting beverage cost management to analyze cost variances, and identifies operational and cost opportunities in the inventory process
· Effectively communicate new beverage activations to marketing, culinary, IT and operations teams
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry; bartender or bar manager experience is considered an asset
· Knowledge of beverage related computer systems (Foodtrak, SutiSoft, SIR Portal, Power BI) is considered an asset
· Excellent training experience in delivering training programs, creating a positive learning environment and promoting continuous development
· Strong knowledge and experience in restaurant bar/beverage operations
· Strong knowledge of industry trends, beverage innovation and willingness to learn new concepts
· Comfortable working in a fast paced and deadlines oriented environment
· Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
· Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills with strong attention to detail
· Maintain the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and self-motivate
· Commitment, teamwork and winning mindset – strong collaborative capabilities
· Strategic thinker, successful in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
· Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel and Powerpoint in particular)
· Must be willing to travel to restaurants
