Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial scoping of projects focusing on feasibility, clear objectives and measures, priority and key stakeholders.
  • Develop project plans, stakeholder engagement and communication plans, status updates.
  • Manage the portfolio of projects for the entire organization, with status updates to be used by senior leadership. 
  • Highlight capacity constraint and project delivery risks that arise as part of the project structure. 
  • Identify, analyze, and develop mitigation plans to handle risks that arise as part of the development of projects.
  • Highlight and escalate key design decisions, ensure role clarity on project outcomes and deliverables, and manage RAID log of issues ongoing.
  • Collect and analyze relevant data to ensure clear decision making.
  • Create handoff plan to ensure seamless transition to the implementation team. 
  • Support the development of project management office functions to improve program and portfolio planning. 
  • Run project meetings ensuring progress is being made and issues/risks are identified and resolved. 

Qualifications

  • Skilled in using tools such as Gantt charts, work breakdown structures, and RAID logs.
  • Ability to manage multiple medium-sized projects simultaneously.

Requirements:  

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple cross functional projects and teams.
  • University degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Engineering, or Project Management.
  • PMI certification complete or in progress.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strive for excellence and innovation.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of all areas of the restaurant (FOH, BOH, Bar, Management).
  • Thorough understanding of concept differences and a focus on maintaining/highlighting these with each project.
  • Able to work in a team and independently to meet deadlines in a responsive and detail oriented manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to adapt to interact professionally with diverse group of partners (vendors, team members, managers, directors, etc.).
  • Strong facilitation skills to drive decision making process with diplomacy and enthusiasm while maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Excellent time management skills, able to effectively organize tasks and control project scope.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, constantly changing environment – able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
